Descriptions New Futures’ Children’s Behavioral Health Program is thrilled to celebrate the participants and the top ten finalists of the 2020 Magnify Voices Expressive Arts Contest. This contest shines a light on children’s mental health, and encourages Granite State youth to magnify their voices, raise awareness, erase stigma, and help others across New Hampshire. This year, middle and high school students across the state submitted 48 pieces, including paintings, photographs, videos, poems, and others, reflecting the mental health struggles our youth experience daily. On June 24th at 1 PM, New Futures and the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication at Franklin Pierce University hosted a livestream event with the contest finalists, and audience members were invited to vote for their favorite entry. Congratulations to Valerie Sacco of Salem High School who was announced as the winner of the People’s Choice Award at the end of the livestream!
